Our championship record speaks for itself. Since 1997, Weil has produced an astounding number of professional, NCAA, national and international champions. 65 players have gone on to play in Division One College Tennis Programs like Stanford, Notre Dame, USC and Illinois - all on scholarship. Seventeen of our nineteen National and International champions never won a major tournament title before coming to Weil. And since 1999, Weil graduates have won over seventeen professional tournament championships. Our players have achieved these results because of one major reason: we expect great things from Weil players. Here are our successes to date:
The Weil Tennis Academy is selective. It only accepts 40 to 50 players who apply each year, which allows its staff to focus its energy and resources on improving player's ability both on the court and in the classroom. The Weil Tennis Academy knows how to produce champions and does it by remaining small and select.
The results of the Weil Tennis Academy's Tennis Program speak for itself professional, national and international champions in every age division. You don't have to be the best player in the country to come to Weil. We focus on Individual Players Development and we coach players at all levels who have the desire to take their games to the next level.
The Weil coaching and fitness staff is among the best in the world with more than 60 years of combined experience developing juniors into top college and professional players. They are a passionate, supportive, demanding and enthusiastic staff committed to the growth and development of each player.
To maximize each player's development, the Weil Tennis Academy designs a personal tournament schedule. Besides playing the Southern California Junior Tournament Schedule, the toughest in the country with over 165 open tournaments a year, Weil students play a variety of ITF tournaments, Men's and Women's professional satellites and futures, as well as the U.S. Junior Super Nationals. And a Weil coach travels with our players to every tournament.
The Weil Tennis Academy has partnered with the Ojai Unified School District to offer its students a high quality junior high school and high school educational program. Weil students either attend Matilija Junior High School or Nordhoff High School, which are both in the top ten percent of all California schools. Independent Study is also available through Weil College Preparatory School administered by Laurel Springs Independent Study School here in Ojai.
